 Job Description
  • Batching Plant Operations:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the batching plants to ensure efficient and timely production of concrete.
  • Manage plant performance to meet project specifications, timelines, and production schedules.
  • Monitor quality control processes to ensure materials meet required standards and specifications.
  • Implement and oversee safety procedures to ensure the plant operates within environmental and health and safety regulations.
  • Optimize plant efficiency through the monitoring and management of energy, raw materials, and labor.
  • Coordinate with project teams to understand concrete requirements and ensure seamless production and delivery.

    Machinery Management:
  • Manage all construction-related machinery and equipment, including cranes, excavators, loaders, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Develop and oversee maintenance schedules to prevent downtime and ensure all machinery operates at peak performance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to procure machinery parts and accessories, ensuring that all equipment complies with industry regulations.
  • Supervise and manage a team of operators, mechanics, and technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Monitor the condition of equipment and recommend replacements or upgrades as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, including regular inspections, servicing, and proper storage of equipment.

    Budgeting and Cost Management:
  • Manage the operational budget for batching plant and machinery maintenance, repairs, and spare parts.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs while maintaining or improving efficiency.
  • Provide input into capital expenditure for new plant equipment and machinery purchases.

    Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of plant operators, mechanics, and equipment handlers.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and ensure staff are adequately trained and certified in relevant plant and machinery operations.
  • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork within the department.

    Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all batching plant operations and machinery comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws.
  • Implement safety protocols and training programs to ensure a zero-accident environment.
  • Regularly audit plant and machinery for compliance and report any deviations or risks to management.
 Skill Requirement
  • At least 10 years experience in plant and machinery management within construction or heavy industries.
    Strong knowledge of heavy machinery (excavators, cranes, batching plant, trucks, etc.).
    Familiar with maintenance planning, asset management systems, and safety compliance standards.
    Leadership skills and ability to manage teams across multiple sites.
 Qualication / Certification Requirement
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
